Meet Kelly Garcia!

Kelly Garcia, serving as Digital Marketing Specialist, just celebrated her third year with Bible League!

She started as an intern, and found a place on the Digital Marketing Team after her internship.

I love being able to make an impact for the kingdom using the talents that God gave me. Knowing that the creativity God gave me can be used in His mission of growing the Church is so encouraging.

In November 2022, Kelly saw how Bible League expands the kingdom of God in Ghana.
It was a life-changing experience! I made forever friends with Bible League Ghana’s director, Rev. Dr. Ahmed, and his amazing team—we still stay connected on WhatsApp regularly!

My favorite memory was visiting a church plant in Penyi. Simple wooden benches covered by a thin, tin roof. A slight relief from the humidity and sunny heat. Our voices being lifted up in worship were louder than my own church here in the United States. Though it was difficult to understand the words of the songs, the Holy Spirit connected all of us together to worship our Lord. The church had so little—but oh, were they richer than any other church I had visited before.

Kelly’s love for the Church spills over into the youth ministry she helps lead every week.
I attend Calvary Chapel in Blue Island. We affectionately call it “The Barn,” and our youth group is called “The Herd.” I’m a co-director and leader for the girls, and we meet every Wednesday. I also serve in the kids’ ministry on Sunday mornings.

Serving with my family growing up instilled a joy in serving that’s hard to describe. Blessing and helping others has strengthened my joy in my faith. Specifically, serving with kids and teens has shown me that I always need to be ready in and out of season with an answer for my faith. Leading by example is a daunting task—but it’s one that Christ has called us to.

A verse that helps her stay grounded in her faith is in the book of Psalms.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 NKJV

This verse was branded on my heart when my mother was diagnosed with cancer for the first time in 2015. We certainly walked through the valley together, but God brought us out on the other side. My family specifically has had many health crises and grief, but this verse brings me comfort that no matter what happens in life, I’ll never have to go through it alone.
